The CSSD Operative is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilisation and distribution of reusable invasive medical devices (RIMDs) to all operating theatres and relevant clinical departments. The role requires the consistent production of accurate work to a high standard in accordance with departmental procedures, quality initiatives and national decontamination standards. The post holder will support the effective day-to-day operation of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD), ensuring adherence to the highest standards of hygiene, infection prevention, safety and patient care.
