Senior Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Opening for an Experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer.

• L8 Qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering desired, preferably electrical.
• Experience in hands on fault finding on all aspects of operation/production equipment.
• Experience on high speed sortation equipment (letters and parcels/packets) such as NEC, Beumer, Leonard and EA&E will be an advantage..
• This role is multipurpose encompassing:-
  • Ongoing day-to-day management of a busy maintenance team
  • Working together with and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, deputizing for same.
  • Ability to fault find problems on equipment utilizing documentation and OEM support
  • Higher level of technical support to maintenance crew on duty in the day.
  • Spares management
  • PM management
  • Reporting of faults and communicating with suppliers and on site customer.
  • Assisting with the management of shift rota and cover schedules, holidays, training etc.

• Day role – Mon to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 (39 hr working week)

• Reporting to the National Maintenance Manager (Postal Automation, IO Systems LTD)

The Engineering Manager provides technical leadership for Maintenance Team in all sites.

• Assisting in the Maintaining of procedures and documentation on ISO standards of Quality, providing technical support to the National Maintenance Manager
• Heavily involved in the creation of training programs with Maintenance Mgr
• Responsibility for Spares ensuring that stock and levels are adequate for our needs.
• Deputizing for the Maintenance Manager during absence.
• This is a senior role within our organization and carries with it the normal and expected responsibilities or managing a maintenance team on site.
• There is a very broad range of highly technical and specialized equipment under the care of the Maintenance team.
