Social Care Worker

On behalf of our client in public health, we are now recruiting a Social Care Worker to join their team in providing support and care to adults with Mental Health difficulties. This is a facilitator role covering personal development, independent living skills, activity groups, community integration etc. The work also involves one to one key-working and person centred planning. This role requires empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with group activities, including sports, baking, walking etc
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the specific needs of clients.
• Provide emotional and social support to clients, helping them to engage in activities.
• Monitor and record client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with other social care professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in Ireland.

This is a Monday-Friday, day shift post with no shift work or unsocial hours.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in social care or a related field
• Previous experience in a social care setting is essential
• Experience in day service or similar social care setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in social care
