Steel Erectors

Our Client is looking for Steel Erectors to assemble, position, and secure structural steel components on construction sites. You’ll work from drawings and lift plans to install beams, columns, bracing, decking, and associated fittings, using MEWPs, cranes, and hand/power tools while maintaining strict safety standards at height.

Key Duties

• Interpret erection drawings, method statements, and lift plans.
• Prepare steel for installation; check IDs/marks and orientation.
• Assist lifting operations: sling/guiding loads, signalling/communicating with crane teams.
• Erect, align, and secure columns, beams, bracing, and secondary steel.
• Bolt-up connections to spec (correct bolt grade, torque/tension where required).
• Fit, drill/cut/grind as permitted and maintain good housekeeping.
• Use MEWPs/scaffolds and fall-arrest equipment correctly; report defects and hazards.

Requirements

• Proven steel erection experience and confident working at height.
• Safe-lifting awareness and good teamwork/communication.
• Competent with erection tools (impact guns, spanners, levels, grinders, etc.).
• Ability to follow drawings/instructions accurately.
