Trainee Industrial Painter – Manufacturing

We are recruiting a trainee painter to join our paint shop team.

This role is ideal for someone practical, physically fit and interested in learning a skilled trade in manufacturing.

No previous experience is required. Attitude and willingness to learn are more important than experience.

You will be trained in industrial paint systems used in heavy manufacturing, working alongside experienced team members and with support from a world-class paint supplier.

This is not a quick course. Learning to paint properly takes time. Over approximately three years you will gain solid industrial painting experience, a valuable skill used across engineering, transport and manufacturing industries.

This role suits someone who enjoys practical work and wants to learn a skilled trade rather than work in an office.

What the job involves

• Preparing steel equipment for painting, including time working in the blast shop
• Assisting with spray painting and finishing
• Learning industrial coating systems and application techniques
• Maintaining high quality standards in the paint shop

Salary

• Starting rate from €15.00 per hour during the initial training period
• Pay increases on a sliding scale as skills and experience develop
• Fully trained industrial painters typically earn €18 – €22 per hour depending on experience
