On behalf of our client within the healthcare sector, we are currently seeking experienced Social Care Workers to join a supportive care team in a new location setting. These roles are offered on long-term temporary contracts, with both full-time and part-time positions available.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of individual care plans, ensuring all records are accurately maintained.
- Promote and uphold the rights, dignity, privacy, and independence of individuals in care.
- Provide support for individuals’ physical, emotional, social, and personal wellbeing.
- Encourage and assist individuals to participate in appointments, education, training, and community-based activities.
- Support individuals with day-to-day administrative tasks and personal documentation where required.
- Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and relevant external services.
- Attend and actively participate in care planning and service delivery meetings.
- Facilitate meaningful activities that enhance personal development and quality of life.
- Implement organisational policies and procedures, including behaviour support plans where applicable.
Household Duties
- Assist with the preparation and provision of healthy, balanced meals.
- Support general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, tidying, and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
Administration & Accountability
- Attend team meetings and provide updates to line management regarding service delivery.
- Maintain accurate written and verbal records relating to individual progress and care.
- Record and report incidents in line with organisational procedures.
- Follow emergency procedures appropriately when required.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when working independently.
- Stay informed on relevant legislation, policies, and best practice standards.
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.
- Carry out additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Health & Safety
- Comply with all health and safety policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Promote and maintain a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and high standards of care delivery.
Skills & Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be registered with CORU (Social Care Workers Register), or
- Hold a recognised Social Care qualification and have submitted a CORU registration application (evidence required).
- Hold a Bachelor of Arts (Applied) in Social Care Practice or an equivalent qualification.
In addition, candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational abilities.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: €20.17-€27.59 per hour
