Process Technician - Steripack Mullingar

Job Description

We’re partnering with Steripack to find a Process Technician to join their growing manufacturing team in Mullingar. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional with strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience to join a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and production targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and plant equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance, unplanned maintenance, and equipment calibration activities
  • Support manufacturing lines to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance line performance and OEE
  • Assist in reducing waste and improving overall product quality
  • Complete maintenance and quality documentation in line with regulatory and company requirements
  • Support new equipment installations and CAPEX projects as part of the wider engineering team
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure operational targets are met

Requirements

  • Technical qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or highly automated manufacturing environments is highly desirable
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
  • Experience working with automated equipment or production lines would be an advantage
