Veterinary Nurse

Joe O’Keeffe Veterinary Clinic is an independent five vet clinic based in Kinnegad, Co, Westmeath. We are dedicated to ensuring all animals, large or small, receive the highest quality care from staff who are dedicated to animals health and well-being.

The practice is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Kinnegad to provide administrative and nursing duties.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Ø  Nurse consultations,

Ø  Inpatient management,

Ø  Surgical preparation and discharge

Ø  Anaesthesia support,

Ø  Laboratory work,

Ø  Post treatment follow up and support

Ø  Reception cover and Admin duties as required

Ø  Maintain and update documentation and records in accordance with company standards.

Our fully equipped clinic with Biochem/Haematology equipment, Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, Dental machine and Gas Anaesthesia on site, opens from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday for small animals.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous veterinary nurse experience working with small animals.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills with excellent written and spoken English.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine interest in animals and a their care.
