Job Description

At Turmec, we are currently growing our team and are looking for dedicated, skilled Metal Fabricators/Welders to join our expanding team to assist in delivering small and large-scale projects in Ireland, the UK and the wider international market. This position operates on a rotating shift pattern covering morning and evening shifts.

Successful applicants will enjoy being part of a closely-knit manufacturing team, who pride themselves on delivering the highest quality products to our worldwide customers.

The Welder/Fabricator duties will include:

  • Fabrication and assembly of metal structures, frames, and components
  • Mild & Stainless Steel Fabrication
  • Operating fabrication machinery

Requirements:

  • 3 years previous experience in the manufacture of Mild Steel or Stainless-Steel fabrications required
  • High standard of welding experience to a suitable standard in MIG welding
  • Safe-Pass and Manual Handling desirable, Abrasive Wheel training not essential but preferable
  • Candidates must work to CE EN1090 criteria
  • A good understanding of spoken and written English is essential
  • The ideal candidate must be self-efficient and be able to work unsupervised, on their own initiative, but also be a team player.
  • Good attendance and time keeping
  • Upon employment candidates must undergo and pass weld tests
  • Own car needed for this role
