Order Packaging & Dispatch Technician

Our client is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Packaging & Dispatch Technician to join their growing team in Mullingar. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, or supply chain environments who enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-focused setting.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately packaged, documented, and dispatched in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh, package, and label products within a cleanroom environment according to customer specifications.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with work instructions.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments using approved carriers and freight forwarders.
• Prepare shipping documentation for international orders and work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
• Schedule shipment collections and deliveries with logistics providers.
• Monitor and track shipments to minimise customs delays and ensure product integrity throughout transit.
• Communicate with customers via email to provide shipping documentation and order updates.
• Maintain inventory levels of shipping and packaging materials.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with annual inventory audits.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
• Contribute positively to team objectives by demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, responsible, and ethical approach to work.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, shipping, dispatch, or material handling.
• Experience with inventory management, stock control, cycle counting, or audits.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems would be an advantage.
• Experience in a manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment is desirable.
