AllPro Recruitment are seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Manager to lead a residential centre accommodating young people (under 18 years) seeking international protection in Limerick City.
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for the overall operational management, governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance of the service. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, child-centred care that meets all legislative, regulatory, and organisational standards.
Working closely with statutory agencies, particularly the Child & Family Agency, the Centre Manager will oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring positive outcomes for the young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the residential service.
- Lead, manage, supervise, and support a multidisciplinary staff team, promoting a positive and accountable culture.
- Ensure the centre operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, national standards, policies, and organisational procedures.
- Maintain robust governance, risk management, and quality assurance systems.
- Prepare for, participate in, and respond to internal and external audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
- Develop and implement continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Tusla, external stakeholders, healthcare professionals, education providers, and community agencies.
- Ensure effective safeguarding practices and promote the welfare and rights of all young people.
- Oversee staffing, rostering, performance management, recruitment, training, and professional development.
- Manage the centre's operational budgets and resources effectively.
- Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Requirements
- CORU registration as a Social Care Worker is essential.
- Degree (Level 7 or above) in Social Care or a relevant discipline recognised by CORU.
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience working in residential social care, with significant leadership and management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing residential services for children and young people.
- Strong knowledge of children's residential care legislation, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in governance, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Experience working collaboratively with Tusla and other statutory agencies.
- Demonstrated experience managing inspections, audits, and implementing quality improvement plans.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organisational, communication, and report-writing abilities.
- Full, clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience working with separated children, unaccompanied minors, or young people seeking international protection.
- Qualification in leadership, management, or quality improvement.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across a 24/7 residential service.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care practices.
