Retail Assistant

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to take on an exciting role as a Weekend Retail Sales Assistant with a leading nursery store in Tullamore.

Flexibility on hours is essential for this role and applicants must be available to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.

This is a part-time weekend position

This role includes:

• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Helping customers make selections by building customer confidence and offering suggestions and opinions.
• Suggesting applicable and relevant upsells to help customers purchase everything they need.
• Prioritising customer care and offering the highest standard of customer service and aftercare.
• Following and achieving the store's sales goals.
• Processing sales through the till accurately and efficiently.
• Visual merchandising of stock.
• Pricing of stock.
• Acting as a brand ambassador for the store and maintaining high standards throughout.
• Replenishing stock throughout the shop floor.
• Keeping the shop floor, till area and back areas clean at all times.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a retail store, ideally within the nursery industry.
• Strong customer service and sales experience.
• A high level of computer literacy is required.
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
• Visual merchandising experience.
• Flexibility with weekend working hours.
• A team player with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• High energy and enthusiasm.

Pay: From €14.15 per hour
