Job Description
· Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on trailers and cranes to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer requirements. You will handle any changes needed to ensure compliance with legislation.
· Identify and rectify any issues required to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
· Deliver a complete customer handover, ensuring customers are familiar with the operation, safety features and maintenance requirements of the equipment prior to collection.
· Communicate quality or product issues to the Assembly Team Leaders, Production Manager and Engineering Department, ensuring corrective actions are implemented for future builds.
· Work closely with the Production Manager to resolve assembly issues and ensure all products are completed to the required quality standard.
Required
· Previous experience as a Technician or Mechanic/ HGV Mechanic, ideally with exposure to Pre- Delivery Inspections (PDIs), servicing, assembly or quality control.
· Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
· Comfortable using tablets and digital systems to record inspections and test results.
· Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across production and engineering teams.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
· Ability to work independently and prioritise workload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Strong attention to detail is required.
