Senior Speech And Language Therapist

AllPro Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join a Day Services team based in Johnstown, Co. Kildare.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a person-centred, multidisciplinary environment supporting adults with disabilities to achieve their communication, swallowing, and overall wellbeing goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality assessment, intervention, and clinical leadership while promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults presenting with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised therapy programmes based on service users' needs and goals.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred care.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues, families, and carers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to colleagues and contribute to service development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards, HIQA requirements, and organisational policies.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing quality improvement activities.

Essential Requirements

• Current CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy (BSc or MSc).
• Experience working with adults in disability, community, or day service settings.
• Excellent clinical assessment, intervention planning, and report-writing skills.
• Strong communication, organisational, and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• A full, clean driving licence is desirable.
