Precast Production Operative

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

• Work in various production buildings conducting a variety of tasks including operating concrete casting machines, pouring concrete, post-production sanding & finishing, mould stripping, preparing moulds for casting etc
• Operating overhead cranes and mobile plant when adequately trained and competent
• General labouring and housekeeping duties
• Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the production line, complete checks and ensure materials are ready to use. Perform all pre-start, quality and safety checks as directed and/or required by Engineer/Supervisor
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies including Health and Safety
• Observing and complying with all good working practices within the factory
• Carrying out any other reasonable request made by management
• We are also seeking operators who have some experience in steel fixing, welding and assembling steel moulds.

Essential criteria

• Must be able to work as part of a team and use own initative while acheiving targets and excellent quality standards
• Should be an organised individual with good communication skills and excellent timekeeping is required
• Previous experience working in a construction/precast manufacturing environment is desirable.
