Job Description
We are currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers for work in Killarney, Co. Kerry.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced steel fixers looking for full-time work at a competitive rate of €26.00/€27.00/hr PAYE
The Role
Duties will include:
- Reading and working from reinforcement drawings and plans
- Cutting, bending and fixing reinforcing steel
- Positioning and tying rebar and steel mesh
- Fixing reinforcement for concrete structures
- Installing spacers and chairs to ensure correct positioning
- Working accurately to drawings and specifications
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Working alongside other trades and site management
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Requirements
Candidates must have:
- Previous experience working as a Steel Fixer
- Valid Safe Pass
- Valid Manual Handling
- Ability to read and understand reinforcement drawings
- Good knowledge of steel fixing and reinforced concrete construction
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good awareness of site health and safety
CSCS Steel Fixing certification is an advantage.
