Major projects. Specialist driving through Ireland and UK
Shay Murtagh Precast is recruiting an experienced Artic / HGV Driver (CE Licence) to join our specialist Transport Team.
This isn't standard multidrop driving. You'll be transporting precast concrete products to major construction and infrastructure projects throughout Ireland, working with a highly experienced transport and heavy haulage team.
The Role
- Drive articulated HGVs delivering precast concrete products throughout Ireland & UK
- Opportunity to transport abnormal and oversized loads
- Work closely with our Transport Team and escort drivers
- Carry out daily vehicle and trailer checks
- Ensure loads are transported safely and securely
- Follow planned routes and movement instructions
- Liaise with site teams during deliveries
- Report any vehicle, load, route or delivery issues promptly
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach at all times
What You Need
- Valid Category CE (Artic) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous artic driving experience
- Heavy haulage / abnormal load experience is an advantage, but not essential
- Good knowledge of Irish roads
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working as part of a team
