About the Company
Robinson Distribution Limited is an established Irish manufacturer of trailers, cranes and bodies. We are seeking an experienced Shot Blaster to join our Painting Team. Portnahinch, Portarlington, Co Laois, R32 CD40.
Key Responsibilities
Operate shot blasting equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare steel chassis and assemblies for painting
Inspect surfaces to ensure quality standards are achieved
Maintain blasting equipment and report any defects
Adhere to all health and safety procedures
Work closely within the Painter and Production team to meet build schedules
Requirements
Previous experience in shot blasting or industrial surface preparation preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow work instructions and safety guidelines
Manual handling awareness
Basic level of English required for safety communication
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically Fit
Fork Truck license and experience is desirable for this role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of steel components and finished assemblies using shot blasting equipment to ensure surface quality prior to painting and finishing.
Development Opportunity
There is an opportunity to progress and train as a Junior Painter once competency in the shot blasting role is established.
Standard working week 40 hours.
Overtime is available but not mandatory.
Pay in line with experience and open to negotiation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay from €16 an hour depending on experience.
