Job Description

Our client, a well-established Midlands-based Accountancy Practice, is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Administrator to work in-house with one of its key clients.

This is a hands-on, mid-level finance position reporting directly to senior management and company directors, with the support and oversight of an established accountancy practice team. The successful candidate will play a central role in financial management across multiple business outlets.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stage
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
  • Monitoring and development of internal financial controls
  • Attendance at monthly board meetings
  • Review and enhancement of finance policies, procedures, and controls
  • Preparation of ad-hoc financial reports
  • Cash flow forecasting and debtor management
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Financial and commercial performance analysis
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with banking partners
  • Working closely with senior management to support business growth initiatives

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar finance role within practice or industry
  • Qualified Accounting Technician or higher qualification desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach
