Job Description

Turmec are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Operator to join our team. We are committed to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in precision and workmanship.

Responsibilities will include:

· Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers or similar) in line with production schedules.

· Load materials and ensure correct tooling and machine parameters are in place prior to operation.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications accurately.

· Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.

· Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

· Carry out routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.

· Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability of manufactured components.

· Work closely with supervisors and production teams to meet daily output targets.

· Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work environment.

Key Attributes

· Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

· Experience with machine setup and tooling changes.

· High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.

· Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.

· Team player with good communication skills.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

· Basic computer literacy (experience with CAD viewing software or shop-floor systems advantageous).
