Job Description

On behalf of our client in public health, we are currently seeking a Grade IV Clerical Officer for an ongoing contract opportunity. This is a full-time post, 35 hours per week based in Dublin 8. The Grade IV Clerical Officer provides administrative support, managing day-to-day office duties and ensuring efficiency and accuracy in their work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Administrative tasks: Manage general office duties like correspondence, filing, photocopying, and handling post.

Record management: Maintain and update records and databases accurately.

Team support: Provide support to a designated supervisor and work collaboratively with other functions to ensure smooth service delivery.

Documentation: Assist in preparing and issuing documentation, reports, and general information to the highest standard.

Knowledge and compliance: Ensure staff are aware of and follow relevant procedures, practices, and legislation.

Confidentiality: Handle all information and service users with confidentiality and discretion.

The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge

  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of IT Skills (including Excel & Word)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of relevant legislation & policy
  • Demonstrate efficiency in the day to day administration responsibilities associated with this role.
