TEG is seeking a proactive and organised Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the effective management of materials, inventory and stores operations within our fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Take overall responsibility for the effective operation and organisation of the Stores function.

·         Manage stock levels of raw materials and production consumables to meet current and future production requirements.

·         Monitor inventory and proactively identify and address replenishment requirements and potential material shortages.

·         Raise Purchase Orders and work with suppliers to secure materials at competitive prices and within required lead times.

·         Coordinate closely with Production and Planning to align material availability with production schedules and priorities.

·         Manage the flow of materials from receipt through to Production, ensuring timely availability and minimising manufacturing disruption.

·         Coordinate and prioritise material cutting, ensuring materials are correctly cut, identified and available when required.

·         Ensure incoming materials are checked, correctly identified, recorded and stored to maintain traceability.

·         Maintain accurate inventory records within TEG’s SAP ERP system and investigate stock discrepancies.

·         Coordinate regular stock counts and inventory checks, maintaining high levels of stock accuracy.

·         Establish appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels for regularly used materials.

·         Develop effective supplier relationships and support performance in terms of price, quality and delivery.

·         Maintain a safe, organised and efficient Stores environment, ensuring materials are readily accessible and issued to Production as required.

·         Support continuous improvement across stock management, purchasing, material flow, Stores organisation and ERP processes.

Requirements

Essential

·         Previous experience in stores, warehouse, stock control, materials management, purchasing or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing, engineering or warehouse environment.

·         Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

·         Good commercial awareness, with an understanding of the balance between material availability, purchasing cost and inventory levels.

·         Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production, Planning, suppliers and other departments.

·         Excellent attention to detail, particularly in relation to stock quantities, material specifications and system transactions.

·         Strong computer literacy and experience working with inventory management or ERP systems.

·         A practical and proactive approach to problem solving, particularly when responding to material shortages or changing production priorities.

·         The ability to take ownership of the Stores function and ensure material requirements are followed through to completion.

Beneficial

·         Previous experience using SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system.

·         Experience with Purchase Orders, inventory transactions and stock reconciliation.

·         Experience within a warehouse, engineering, CNC machining, fabrication, precision manufacturing or similar operational environment.

·         Experience purchasing and controlling engineering raw materials, including metals and plastics.

·         An understanding of production planning and the impact that material availability has on manufacturing schedules.
