About the Role:

B.L.C Developments is seeking a reliable and experienced Head Cook to oversee kitchen operations within a community-based setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, supporting kitchen staff, and maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards. Key

Job Type - Part-time - 19.5 hours per week

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard
  • Support and guide kitchen staff in daily duties
  • Manage food ordering, storage, and stock control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
  • Assist with menu planning and respond to client feedback
  • Provide training and guidance to catering staff

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cook or kitchen role
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team strong organisational and communication skills.
