Are you passionate about social inclusion and empowering others? We are seeking a dedicated TRLEI Coordinator / Job Coach to support members of the Traveller and Roma communities in accessing employment, education, and training opportunities.
In this vital role, you will work directly with jobseekers to unlock their potential, while simultaneously building bridges with local employers and statutory agencies to create inclusive employment pathways.
This targeted, locally based support is a key part of the actions under the National Traveller and Roma Inclusion Strategy II and are funded by the Department of Children, Disability and Equality.
TRLEI is national programmes that will be managed and delivered by BTTC at a local level on behalf of government that promote equality and inclusion.
Remote/hybrid working requests will be considered after probation period.
Additional Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake outreach and community engagement to identify and support potential Traveller and Roma participants to engage with the programme.
2. Provide person-centred one-to-one coaching, mentoring and employment support, helping participants identify their strengths, employment goals and pathways towards work.
3. Develop and deliver pre-employment, personal development, training and self-employment programmes tailored to the needs of Traveller and Roma communities.
4. Support participants to overcome barriers to employment and progress towards education, training, employment and self-employment opportunities.
5. Develop initiatives that promote inclusive employment and workplace practices for Travellers and Roma.
6. Engage with and support employers to develop inclusive recruitment, induction, workplace and employment practices.
7. Provide in-work coaching, workplace support and aftercare to participants and employers as required.
8. Build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborative networks across community, voluntary and statutory organisations.
9. Maintain accurate case records, and prepare clear reports, case studies and programme updates for relevant stakeholders and funders.
10. Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, professional development, training and organisational initiatives.
11. Undertake other reasonable duties in support of the programme and wider organisation.
Ballycommon Technology and Training Centre CLG is a community owned business which was established in 1999 in order to provide IT and Soft Skills Training to members of the local and wider community. We are located just outside of Tullamore.
Officially opened in March 2000 the centre has gone from strength to strength with three IT and Soft Skill Facilitator/Tutors forming part of the total of ten employees currently employed by the centre. All our tutors are accredited trainers. The centre is an ICDL Accredited test centre
We also offer Safety Training such as Safepass, Manual Handling and First Aid Responder.
We also have remote working facilities available for short term or long term hire.
