Vacancy for Branch Supervisor 


Contract: Permanent

Hours of Work: 5 days per week - Tuesday to Saturday, 36 Hour Working Week

9am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday & 8.45am to 1.30pm Saturday. Closing for lunch Tuesday to Friday 1pm to 1.30pm

Reporting to: the Operations Officer with a dotted line to the CEO

Liaison with:         Other Branch Supervisors
                                Risk & Compliance Function
                                Management Team
                                Other Credit Union Employees


Remuneration Package: Annual salary approx. €33,000 to €40,000 (Based on Experience, Qualifications)
                                           Occupational Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution)
                                           23 Days Annual Leave

The successful candidate:

❖  Will be based in the Ferbane Branch primarily but may be needed to attend other branches, based on operational need

❖ Will manage, direct and administer the daily operations of the branch in line with the policies and procedures of St. Brigid’s Credit Union, including but not limited to:

o providing excellent service to our Members
o being member facing and carrying out frontline operations such as counter transactions etc.
o assigning tasks to colleagues as appropriate to ensure completion of the daily/monthly tasks
o Co-ordinate end of day balancing, reporting of same and the preparation & depositing of bank lodgements
o Communicate and address any concerns in relation to staff or members which need to be escalated to Management

❖ Will take and assess loan applications in line with the policies and procedures of St. Brigid’s Credit Union


The ideal candidate should:

•  strong business and commercial acumen
•  have strong credit lending and underwriting experience and demonstrate same, minimum 3 years’ experience
•  have a minimum APA qualification (QFA Loans & QFA Regulation Module) or full QFA or be working toward same
•  have strong communication skills and work ethic both as part of a team and on their own
•  have experience working within a Credit Union or other Financial Institution
•  have experience engaging with and motivating people
•  be willing to carry out any other duties deemed appropriate or relevant to the role
